Celebration of Gandhi and Sastri Jayanti by the Study Centre

OSOU Study Centre SKCG A College, Paralakhemundi observed the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Sastri on 2nd Oct 2016 in the Seminar Hall of Geography Department of SKCG A College, Paralakhemundi. Presiding over the function, Principal Prof. S.B.Mishra,stressed upon the ideas and philosophy of Gandhiji in today's context and advised the learners to practise non violence in every sphere of life. Coordinator Sri.I.B.Sahoo attached much importance upon the Gandhian approach towards rural development and underlined the concept of self sufficient village community and self reliance attitude advocated by him. Incidentally in today's counseling session, Dr. Sunanda Patnaik, Reader & Head of Economic Dept.of our college discussed on the same topic in DRD course. Sri.S.K.Sahoo, Asst.Coordinator described L.B.Sastri as honest brave and courageous prime minister of independent India. The function begun with a floral tribute to both and ceremony was attended by large number of learners and academic counselors.
